Swimming

The summer is coming to an end, and boy was it a hot one! This year we decided to buy a cheap blow up pool to help us keep cool on the blistering days we were forced to endure. I'm just now posting pictures because I completely forgot to take any of our swimming escapades, until the other day (my mommy brain always tramples on my memory).

Skating

Since Daniel and I grew up ice skating, we figured the kids were now old enough to try it out. So we took them to the local Stars Center for some ice cold fun. I tried not to get my hopes up and was anticipating a complete disaster, but the kids of course proved me wrong. They both did amazing for their first time! Ella took to it with no problems! She walked the entire time on the ice only holding our hands. And Jacob did well too, even though in the beginning he made us hold him while he kept his legs limp.

I didn't bring the "good" camera with me inside the rink (I left it in the car by mistake), so I wasn't able to take as many pictures with my phone. I'm hoping to take them again this weekend and hopefully remember to put the camera in my pocket!

Mini Golf

Jacob has been BEGGING us to take him to play miniature golf. It doesn't help that we drive by a driving range with mini-golf on our way to the kids' school. So my dad treated us and the kids to some golfing and video game playing! SO much fun! And of course Jacob wants to go back. Guess we'll have to go again!

Mississippi

I mentioned our weekend trip to Mississippi in the last post, which made me realize I haven't posted any pictures from our trip!

We didn't take that many photos, but I thought it would still be good to share the ones we did manage to take.
